1. Does it work on my phone?
You need these things in order to use the application:
- A phone that we support, see list on order page.
- A mobile phone operator in a country that we support. See the country flags on the main page.
- A data plan with your mobile phone operator that gives you unrestricted access to the Internet using GPRS/UMTS. It might also work if standard WAP-services are enabled but we cannot guarantee that since some operators alters the content sent trough a WAP gateway.
- The correct settings for your Internet connection.
2. What handsets are supported?
At the moment we support Nokia and Sony Ericsson devices with a display size of 128x160, 176x208, 176x220, 208x208, 240x320 and 352x416.

3. How do I download the application?
Select your country on the main page for information on how to order in your specific country. If your country is not listed it is not possible to order at the moment. The order is placed by sending an SMS and you will shortly receive an SMS with a download link. Open the link and accept that the phone downloads the application.
4. How do I open the download link?
Select your country on the main page and follow the instructions.
When you receive the SMS sent back to you, open the link in the message to start the download.
How to open the link on different phone models:
- Nokia Series 60 phones: Highlight the link, select "Options > Open link".
- Nokia Series 40 phones: you will have to select "Options > Use detail > Web address > Go to" to open the link.
- Sony Ericsson: Highlight link and select "Open".
5. Why doesn't the download start?
If the download does not start when you open the link, you probably do not have a working internet connection in your phone. This can have two main causes; either your deal with your operator does not allow it, or you have the wrong settings in your phone. Contact your mobile phone operator to work this out.
6. I have downloaded the application, how do I start it?
The name of the application is GO4F1 and you find it in the phones menu. On some phones you can choose where to store the application while others save applications in a standard folder.
Where to find the application on different phone models:
- Nokia Series 60 newer models: (e.g.E60, N73, N95) - The application is normally stored in "Menu > Installat." or "Menu > Applications".
- Nokia Series 60 older models: (e.g.N-gage, 7610) – The game can be saved in different places depending on different models. Sometimes it shows up directly in the main menu and sometimes it is stored in Menu > Extras > Applications.
- Nokia Series 40: When downloading you can choose where to install the application.
- Sony Ericsson: When downloading you will get option to save the application in the Games folder or in the Applications folder. If you choose the games folder, go to: "Main menu > Entertainment > Games. If you choose the applications folder, go to "Main menu > File manager > Applications". Find GO4F1 in the list and select "Start".
7. When I start the application, I get a message saying that it cannot connect to the server
This message can come up if you have the wrong GPRS settings in your phone or if your operator has restricted your Internet access. If there are several internet profiles in your phone, try to use another profile. Even if your phone is correctly configured for WAP, it might have separate settings for what profile should be used by downloaded applications. Check with your operator what profile you should use.
Change the internet profile for the application like this:
Nokia Series 60:
The profile selection pops up every time you start the application.
On some models it is possible to avoid these popups by setting a default profile for the application. Do this by going to "Menu > Applications > App. mgr.", find GO4F1 in the list and select "Options > Open > Access point". Select the default access point to use by the application.
Nokia Series 40:
Go to "Menu > Settings > Configuration > Default configuration settings" and choose internet profile. After you changed the profile you can activate the new settings by selecting "Activate default in all applications".
Sony Ericsson (newer models):
Go to "Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Internet Settings > Settings for Java" and select the profile to use.
Sony Ericsson (older models):
Go to "Menu > Connectivity > Settings for Java > Internet profiles" and select the profile to use.
Unfortunately we cannot help you with connection problems since this is tied to the operator and depends on your contract and your settings in the phone. If you have difficulties connecting with the application, please contact your operator to resolve the problem.
8. What internet profile/access point should I use?
This depends on your phone model and operator. Generally speaking, it is better to use a connection that gives you direct access to the internet instead of a WAP connection. This gives you faster communication and generates less traffic. Often the Internet access points have the word "Internet" in it.
9. What are the correct internet settings for my phone?
This is all dependant on your mobile phone deal. Normally you can find the correct settings and how to install them on your mobile phone operators web page.
10. Why do I need an internet connection to start the application?
The application connects to the internet to download news and information that is displayed to you. The application functions like a web browser where the information you view is downloaded on the fly to bring you news that is always up to date.
11. Can I order even if my country is not listed?
No, not at the moment. The SMS shortcodes are only valid if you have got a mobile operator from that specific country.
12. What is the cost of the service?
The subscription cost which gives you unlimited access to the application is 5-7 EUR per month, depending on your country. The price differ slightly due to different rules and tariffs in different countries, but you can clearly see the exact cost in your country by clicking on the flag.
You will also pay your mobile phone operator for the data traffic generated when you download the application and when you use the application. The data traffic cost is all dependent on your deal with the operator. Some deals give you unlimited access to the internet at a flat rate and others require you to pay per megabyte or per kilobyte transferred. Check with your operator to find out exactly what the data traffic will cost for you, the information is normally accessible trough the operators web page.
13. How much data traffic is generated by the application?
The application size is about 140 kilobytes. The first time you start the application it will download about 20 kilobytes of additional graphics and store it in your phones memory. After that the data usage of a regular session is about 30-80 kilobytes.
